Yesterday some of the other language students and I visited the original city of Jaipur. You can see in the pictures why it was called the Pink City. We first went to see the City Palace (the pink one), then we saw the Jal Mahal (the palace on the lake). On the way home, my rickshawalla got lost, so in addition to testing my elementary knowledge of giving directions in Hindi, I took lots of pictures of other random buildings and places. Enjoy.

- There were lots of random cows walking around the streets in old Jaipur
- Our auto rickshaw driver told us that this was one of the maharaja’s palaces and directly across from it used to be the maharani’s palace.
